We are a vibrant community of students, parents, staff, faculty, and coaches who love God, love others, and love learning. We are forging a vision of excellence in education, established on a foundation of Biblical values, and emphasizing the highest level of academic, artistic, athletic and co-curricular achievement.
At MCA we are student-centric. We commit, in everything we do, to help students succeed academically, artistically and athletically; to develop leadership skills, and to grow in their relationship with God. We pursue excellence with our students, in partnership with their parents. It is our highest calling.
MCA will add 9th grade in the fall of 2017. We will add one high school grade each year thereafter until we have a 9-12th-grade high school. Our first graduating class will be in May 2021! No matter who they are or where they excel, all students at MCA can be proud to state, I AM A KNIGHT!
Most parents enrolling their children in private Christian high schools are not seeking to insulate their children from the real world. Instead, they are committed to preparing their student to be the salt and light in the world.
At MCA, we are ready to partner with you. Our vision is to support parents by preparing students to walk with God, walk with their fellow man, and walk in, but not of, this world. MCA uses innovative methods to engage lifelong learners who are prepared to follow God’s call on their lives. Excellence is the hallmark of all programs as we strive to disciple our teenage learners into adulthood!
The faculty at MCA is dedicated to continuous, life-long learning with many of them possessing post-graduate degrees. While attending the High School, students develop skills that will prepare them for success in the 21st Century through the effective utilization of technology. Medina Christian is a 1:1 chromebook campus. Faculty utilize state of the art instructional strategies to teach students from a Biblical worldview. Relevant learning experiences ensure that students not only understand the curriculum, but understand how they best learn.
One encounter with God can change everything – and some of our richest encounters are through worship. MCA provides transformational, meaningful, and memorable worship and devotional encounters with God through music, drama, prayer, teachings and shared spiritual experiences. Chapel is held on Wednesday mornings. Chapel includes various local and outside speakers, student testimonials, student-led worship and other student-led initiatives that are also incorporated into chapel programming from time to time. MCA also partners with local youth pastors and other Christian based ministries and organizations and encourage their presence on campus and at chapel.
The arts program adds breadth to a Christian education. It not only pushes students to dramatically improve their talents, but it also provides knowledge and experience. Visual and performing art opportunities offer students the chance to explore and discover their inherent creative gifts, and to share these gifts in significant ways. The combination of expert teaching and student-centered learning makes MCA a wonderful place for students to experience the joy of art-making and to grow richly in their creative endeavors. MCA is proud to offer drama opportunities, violin, cello, and piano lessons; Orchestra Ensemble, Instrumental Band, and Choir.
The MCA coaching staff seeks to incorporate teamwork, goal setting, and wise stewardship of each athlete’s gifts and talents in order to honor God. Our coaches challenge their athletes to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives and do so in a spirit of humility, integrity, and class. The relationship building that occurs in a team dynamic is another opportunity for growth as our student athletes interact with coaches and teammates. Competitive athletic team options will be available at the high school level, such as golf, cross country, and basketball.
