words from a

MCA 9th Grader

“Throughout my time at MCA, I have grown a lot, both spiritually and mentally. When I first transferred, I was nervous to come; I wasn’t excited about school and my faith in Christ was weak. My first day here I was so scared that I wouldn’t have any friends and that I wasn’t going to enjoy it. However, it was fantastic. The teachers were so kind and welcoming, and I had an immediate click with all of the students in my class. I have become so close to all of my friends, and the school has made me a completely different and better person. Because of all of the fantastic chapel services, one- on- one relationships with the teachers, Christian perspective, mission trips, and just the overall experience, I have grown significantly. Now, I look forward to coming to school, have the best friends that I have ever had, participate in school sports and performing arts programs, and most importantly, I have grown in Christ.”

continued growth

Each high school course encourages students to develop careful critical thinking skills, precise speech, and careful reading by using a variety of pedagogy including Socratic seminars, debate, hands-on projects, and STEAM integration. Teachers ingratiate all studies with biblical perspectives, and students are provided with an understanding of Christ throughout all subject areas. In addition, a school partnership with Malone University empowers students to earn college credit on Medina Christian Academy’s campus as well as experience collegiate expectations and study strategies.

growing together

A myriad of service and ministry opportunities, athletic programs, stimulating co-curricular activities, and fine arts offerings contribute to MCA’s distinct program. Extracurricular activities allow high school students to become more involved in the MCA community. A variety of sports, drama, academic, and musical clubs and teams allow all students a chance to enhance their God-given talents and foster important qualities of teamwork and perseverance. Students at Medina Christian Academy learn that service is an integral part of living as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Being a part of the community

Every student will participate in a variety of service projects both in the Medina community and throughout the world which allows them to experience the world outside of themselves and the school walls and understand the needs of others. Students will also attend two spiritual retreats and a missions trip to solidify relationships, community, servant leadership, and most importantly, students’ relationship with Christ.
